Discover My NumbersNumerology compatibility compares two Life Path numbers to identify natural relationship dynamics — where partners reinforce each other and where friction occurs. Enter two birth dates and names below for an instant compatibility score with strengths, challenges, and advice. Highest natural pairs include 1+5, 2+6, 3+9, 4+8, and 7+11; most challenging are 1+8 (power conflicts), 4+5 (stability vs freedom), and 7+3 (depth vs surface). Compatibility is descriptive, not predictive — it shows the dynamic, not the outcome.

Discover My NumbersCompatibility in Pythagorean numerology is read primarily from the two Life Path numbers. The 9 single-digit paths and 3 master numbers (11, 22, 33) form a 12×12 matrix of pairings; each pair has a known dynamic drawn from how the two numbers interact mathematically and symbolically. Three core dynamics:
NYMERŌ's reading reports both the surface fit and the failure mode for each pair, so you see the whole picture rather than a single number out of 100. The full 12×12 grid is browsable from the Life Path index.
Most compatibility tools tell you a percentage and stop. Below are the full Life Path calculations for two well-known couples so you can see how the dynamic actually reads, then enter the dates above to confirm what the tool returns.
Marie (b. 7 Nov 1867): Month 11 + Day 7 + Year (1+8+6+7=22) = 11+7+22 = 40 → Life Path 4 (The Builder). Two master components, neither survives the sum.
Pierre (b. 15 May 1859): Month 5 + Day (1+5=6) + Year (1+8+5+9=23 → 5) = 5+6+5 = 16 → Life Path 7 (The Seeker).
Note: Pierre is 7, not 5. Don't confuse the year-reduced 5 with the final Life Path.
4 × 7 dynamic: the Builder and the Seeker. Both introverted, both methodical, but for different ends — she organises, he dissects. Score in our matrix: 78%. Strengths: shared discipline and patience. Friction: when results disagree (his curiosity vs her need for completion). Historically: two Nobel Prizes between them, one shared lab. The numerology reads as the biography reads.
John (b. 9 Oct 1940): Month (1+0=1) + Day 9 + Year (1+9+4+0=14 → 5) = 1+9+5 = 15 → Life Path 6 (The Nurturer).
Yoko (b. 18 Feb 1933): Month 2 + Day (1+8=9) + Year (1+9+3+3=16 → 7) = 2+9+7 = 18 → Life Path 9 (The Humanitarian).
6 × 9 dynamic: the Nurturer and the Humanitarian. Both other-focused; the difference is scope. 6 nurtures one circle (family, partner, immediate community); 9 nurtures everyone (universal causes, art for the world). Score: 86%. The friction point: 6 wants the tribe close, 9 keeps doors open to the universe. Both must consciously protect intimate space if 9's outward orientation isn't to dilute 6's nest.
Both calculations are reproducible by hand. The score itself comes from the 12×12 matrix — documented in our methodology — not from a hidden algorithm.
A two-digit percentage is easy to read and easy to misuse. Five things our score is not:
Use the score the way a good astrologer uses a synastry chart: as a question generator. Where does our friction live? What does each of us need that the other naturally provides? — not as a stay-or-leave oracle.
It compares two Life Path numbers to assess relationship harmony. Each Life Path carries specific energy — some combinations create natural synergy (1+5 for independence-loving partners), others require conscious effort (1+8 where both want to lead). NYMERO computes scores from a deterministic 12×12 numerological matrix, 0 to 100.
Highest pairings include 2+6 (nurturing harmony, 94%), 6+6 (shared devotion, 95%), 9+9 (mutual humanitarianism, 93%), and 4+8 (shared discipline, 91%). Master numbers 11 and 22 carry unique dynamics due to their amplified energy. Every pairing has strengths — the key is understanding them.
Absolutely. Compatibility shows natural tendencies, not destiny. A lower score means the relationship requires more conscious effort in specific areas, not that it is doomed. Many strong relationships exist between « challenging » pairings. The score reveals friction points so partners can navigate differences with awareness.
Numerology is not scientifically validated — no peer-reviewed research confirms birth dates predict relationship outcomes. The score reflects how naturally two energies blend in classical Pythagorean numerology; it does not measure attachment style, shared values, communication patterns, or life-stage alignment, all of which weigh more in real relationships. Use it as a question generator, not a verdict.
For Life Path compatibility — the core score here — names are not used. Life Path comes from the date of birth only; a name change has no effect. Names matter for the Expression and Soul Urge layers (full calculator). For those, use the full name on the birth certificate, including middle names — the standard convention in Pythagorean numerology.
Same-number pairings score very high (90-95%) because both partners share the same core energy and motivations. They also amplify the shadow side of that number: two 8s reinforce ambition and control struggles; two 5s share love of freedom and can both refuse to settle. A 70% complementary pair often produces less friction than a 90% mirrored one.
The base Life Path compatibility never changes — it is fixed by both birth dates. What changes is the Personal Year of each partner, which adds a yearly overlay. A 1 (new beginnings) and a 9 (endings and release) in the same year creates very different relational weather than two partners both in a 6 year (responsibility, home, family). The base score is the climate; Personal Years are the weather.
Master numbers carry amplified energy and are not reduced to single digits when scoring compatibility. A Life Path 11 paired with a 2 reads differently than a 2 paired with a 2, because 11 includes a spiritual-intuitive layer the reduced 2 does not. They tend to pair well both with other master numbers and with grounded earth numbers like 4, 6, and 8. Around 5-8% of people carry each master number.
